How to Change the Batteries on a Weber Q

The Weber Q collection of grills are streamlined, table-top gas grills designed for residential use. The grills rely on 20-pound disposable LP gas cylinders, available at the neighborhood hardware store, home improvement center, or big-box retailer. An electronic ignition system is installed on the grill's handle to light the grill and is powered with one AAA battery. If the battery dies, the electrical ignition system won't create a spark, and the grill has to be manually lit. To restart usage of the electrical ignition system, replace the battery.

How to Change the Batteries On a Weber Q In 3 steps

Step 1

Grab the ignition battery module located on the grill's handle and flip it to the left to eliminate it.

Step 2

Pull the old battery from the battery compartment and place it in the new battery with the positive side added.

Step 3

Realign the battery module with the grooves and twist it to the right to fasten it in place.
